Ayesha Shroff recalls her family's bankruptcy situation; says, “It was the worst sensation of my life”

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Ayesha Shroff, Jackie Shroff's wife and a producer, recently remembered the period when her family was in financial trouble. Ayesha broke down in tears when talking on 'Koffee With Karan' about how Jackie opted to sell their property to repay the loan. She disclosed that after her movie 'Boom' was unsuccessful due to piracy, her husband leased their home to pay off the loan, but they ultimately lost it.

Ayesha, wiping off her tears, told Karan Johar, “I made a movie called Boom some years ago. That movie meant a lot to me. But unfortunately, the movie got pirated and distributors backed off. They refused to take delivery of the film. My husband stood with me and said, ‘It’s our family honour. We will release the movie. I am with you.” She added, “We put our house on lease and released the film. Of course, we lost the house. When Tiger joined the films, the first thing he told me was, ‘I am going to buy that house for you. That meant so much to me rather than big diamonds and a declaration of love. When your husband stands by you and your son is like that, that means more to me than anything else.”

The famous wife claimed that her son Tiger kept his word and purchased his mother's property. Ayesha Shroff previously discussed going through a terrible period in an interview with GQ. She also noted how upsetting it was to watch the furniture, her mother's artwork, lamps, and other items that she had grown up with being auctioned off. “Then my bed went. I started to sleep on the floor. It was the worst feeling of my life,” she further added.

Importantly, Tiger Shroff, Ayesha's son, has made a name for himself as one of Bollywood's top action stars. He has several intriguing projects in the works, including the action film Ganapath, Karan Johar's Screw Dheela, and Heropanti 2.
