Avadhesh is now Principal Director of I-T (Investigation)

Jaipur: Avadhesh Kumar, serving as the Principal Commissioner of Income Tax (Investigation) in Chennai, has been given a significant role and will now serve as the Principal Director of Income Tax (Investigation) in the state’s Income Tax Investigation branch. The announcement was made on Friday as part of a transfer order issued by Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), which transferred 124 IRS officers holding position of Principal Commissioner of Income Tax across the country. Besides, 86 IRS officers have been given additional responsibilities.This order, issued by CBDT on Friday afternoon, affected three state officers.

Two officers have had their posts changed, though their cities remain the same. According to the transfer order, Sudhanshu Shekhar Jha, who was serving as the Principal Director of Income Tax (Investigation) in the state, has been appointed as the Principal Commissioner of Income Tax (Jaipur-1). Ranjit Singh, who was serving as the Principal Commissioner of Income Tax (Jodhpur-1), has been assigned role of Principal Commissioner of Income Tax (Audit-1, Jaipur).
