Arya stresses on strategy for ‘Zero Hunger’ plan at World Food Programme

Jaipur: Chief Secretary Niranjan Arya while addressing a virtual meeting for food and nutrition in the state from 2023 to 2027 of the World Food Programme (WFP) at the Government Secretariat here on Tuesday directed officials to work with a concrete plan and strategy for ‘Zero Hunger’ in the state.

Bishow Parajuli, WFP India representative, appreciated the efforts being made by the state government.

Principal Secretary, Women and Child Development, Shreya Guha gave information regarding the food and nutrition being provided through Anganwadis.

Commissioner of Agriculture Dept Omprakash suggested inclusion of nutritional Bajra in schools.

Additional Commissioner, Food and Civil Supplies Department, Anil Agarwal, Director of Panchayati Raj Dept Ghanshyam and OSD of Planning Dept Vinesh Singhvi also gave suggestions.
