Anupam Kher shares his experience working with Dilip Kumar on latter's 100th birth anniversary

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Dilip Kumar is among the legendary actors who will always be remembered as the pioneers of Indian cinema. The late actor would have celebrated his 100th birthday on December 12. Remembering his legacy and aura, actor Anupam Kher, who once starred with him in the film, Karma shared a heartfelt note on Instagram.

Along with a picture of them on the sets of the film, Anupam wrote, "Aaj Dilip Kumar ji ka 100th janamdin hai. Subhash Ghai ji ne mujhe Karma mein Dr Dang ka role dekar shayad ek ache actor se star bana diya. Par ye Dilip Sahab ki jaduyi shaksiyat ka kamaal tha jisne mujhe wo audha dilaya. Main taa-umra unka shukra guzar rahunga unka aashirwaad hamesha mere sath hai."

Karma had an ensemble cast of Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Naseeruddin Shah, Sridevi and Poonam Dhillon. Meanwhile, Anupam Kher played the main antagonist of the film. It was released in the year 1986.

Dilip Kumar passed away at the age of 98 on July 7, 2021. He was buried at Mumbai's Juhu cemetery with full state honours. He is survived by his wife, veteran actress, Saira Banu.
