Anti-Lynching Bill yet to get Prez nod

Jaipur: The Rajasthan Protection from Lynching Bill, 2019 was passed from the State Assembly but has not yet been approved by the President. A recent mob lynching incident in Alwar has yet again highlighted the need of the law to deal with such incidents. Chiranjilal, 50, a vegetable vendor, was lynched in Rambas village of Govindgarh police station area in Alwar district on suspicion of theft.
