Ananya Panday and Ayushmann Khurrana to be the new pair in Bollywood?
Mumbai (Maharashtra): Ayushmann Khurrana has delivered some massive hits in the past and his 2019 film, Dream Girl with Nushrratt Bharuccha is one of them. Now, obviously, with such success of the first film, the makers are gearing up to work on its sequel. According to reports, the makers have announced that the film will go on floors later this year. Although no further information about the leading lady was disclosed.
As the makers were looking for young talent, new generation actresses’ names started floating in the air. There were previous reports that Naagin 6 fame Tejasswi Prakash would make her Bollywood debut with the movie, but the plans did not work out. After that Sara Ali Khan’s name was doing the round. But now, according to a report by Pinkvilla, the leading lady has been finalised to be Ananya Panday.
A source close to the development revealed, “The makers were in talks with Ananya Panday for Dream Girl 2. And as per our sources, makers of the film have zeroed down Ananya Panday opposite Ayushmann Khurrana.” However, no confirmation has been given on the same by Ananya Panday.
Ananya Panday will next be seen in her first pan-India film, Liger alongside Vijay Deverakonda. The Dharma movie, helmed by Puri Jagannadh will release in the theatres on August 25. Meanwhile, Ayushmann Khurrana will soon collaborate with his Dream Girl co-star Nushrratt Bharuccha in their upcoming film, Googly.
