An apology video posted on Aamir Khan Productions’ Twitter; fans think the account is hacked

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha crashed at the box office massively, hence, crashing the expectations of the makers. Maybe the time was not right for the film to release or maybe the efforts weren’t put in rightly or maybe a lot of things happened, but the film’s failure certainly cannot be solely blamed on Aamir. But a recent development on his Productions’ social media has concerned fans.

A recent post on Aamir Khan Productions’ Twitter handle seemed out of the blue and random and had fans questioning whether it really is Aamir Khan who posted it. An apology video was posted on the Twitter handle that began with the words ‘Michami Dukkadum’ which loosely translates to ‘may all the evil that has been done be in vain’. An unknown voice in the background spoke in Hindi, “All of us are human beings and we only make mistakes. Sometimes through our words and sometimes by our actions, at times we do it without knowing and at times when we are angry.”

It added, “We also hurt people with our jokes and sometimes without talking. If I have hurt your feelings in any way ever then I ask for your forgiveness with my heart, promise and being.” The theme from the 2008 film, Kal Ho Na Ho played in the background.

The video seemed out of the blue though many linked it to the failure of Laal Singh Chaddha. One user wrote, “Hacked For Sure!! Didn't expect this from Aamir...the voice ain't his” while another replied, “As always, every year, Aamir says Micchaami Dukkadam, the Jain sorry. This time, voiced -- by who?”

Laal Singh Chaddha was the remake of the classic 1994 Hollywood film, Forrest Gump that starred Tom Hanks and Robin Wright. Meanwhile, LSC had an ensemble cast of Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya.
