AMIDST NOISY SCENES, SHAH CALLS FOR HONEST DISCOURSE

New Delhi: Both Houses of Parliament witnessed noisy scenes on Monday, 3rd day of monsoon session, over Manipur violence before being adjourned for the day with hardly any business getting transacted.

Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said he was willing to hold discussion in Lok Sabha on situation in Manipur and wondered why Opposition was not ready for it. Speaking briefly in LS, he requested Oppn leaders to allow debate, saying it was important for truth to come out before the country on Manipur issue.

Amit Shah said leaders from ruling as well as Oppn parties had been wanting to hold discussion on Manipur issue.
