Amid concerns about Samantha's health rumours, her mythological love story, Shaakuntalam gets a release date

Mumbai (Maharashtra): The fans of Samantha Ruth Prabhu are currently concerned about the actor’s health due to the flying rumours regarding her rare skin disorder. They further stated that she has flown down to the US to begin treatment for the disease. However, Samantha’s representative denied all the speculations and stated that the actor is healthy and fine but did not disclose the purpose of her foreign visit. Amid all these rumours, the makers of Shaakuntalam have disclosed the film’s release date, which stars Samantha with Dev Mohan.

The makers tweeted the poster of the film along with the caption, “Witness the #EpicLoveStory #Shaakuntalam in Theatres from Nov 4th 2022 Worldwide! The poster featured Samantha in her role as Shakuntala with Dushyanta played by Dev Mohan embracing her from behind. The film is a mythological drama based on the epic love story written by sage Kalidasa. The film also stars Mohan Babu, Gautami, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla along with Allu Arha as Prince Bharatha.

Director Gunaasekhar took to his Twitter to make the announcement along with the revelation that the film’s promotions will also begin soon. The movie has been conceptualized and directed by Gunasekhar, with Gunaa Teamworks’ production banner backing the venture, and Dil Raju Productions as the distribution company. A heavy amount of VFX is expected to be used in the drama, which is currently in its post-production stages.
