Alliance Air remains with GoI, unlike Air India

Jaipur: Alliance Air is no longer a subsidiary of Air India and it will be run as an independent business unit under the Government of India.

Air India, which operated through 3 different companies under the Central Government till 5 months ago, is now divided into two parts.

While the ownership of Air India and Air India Express has gone to the Tata Group, the third company, Alliance Air, will remain independent under the Central Government.

These changes will also be seen at Jaipur airport. On the separation of Alliance Air, the company’s CEO Vineet Sood has issued a circular saying that from April 15, Alliance Air will no longer be a part of Air India.
