Alia Bhatt on boycott Brahmastra trend: Negative kuchh nahi hain environment

Mumbai (Maharashtra): The boycott trend has spread like wildfire and the latest film to fall prey to it has been Brahmastra. The film is getting unwarranted hatred from netizens and many fear that this dream project would fall prey to the trend just like other films have. But the Brahmastra team have been confident in their work and although they are facing backlash from people right now, they are sure that their work will move the audience. While promoting the film in Delhi, Alia was asked about the current “climate” referring to the boycott situation.

The actor took it jokingly and replied, “Which climate? Summer? Winter? There's no such thing. It is a beautiful environment to release a film. Right now, we need to be healthy, safe, and secure. We should all feel grateful for life in general, aise kuch mat bolo, aap mat spread karo. Negative kuchh nahi hain environment, sab positive hain, sab acha hain.”

She further added that she is happy theatres are back in full force after the pandemic. “We are so happy that theatres are back, films are back in theatres. We are very grateful that we are getting to do our job and put it out for the audience to watch. Climate yahi hain ki abhi September shuru ho gaya, agli maheene October shuru hoga.”

Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna. Although the Ayan Mukerji directorial faced backlash, it has a good first-day pre-booking collection and has become the second-highest film after KGF 2.
