Alia believes Brahmastra reviews have been more positive rather than negative; says the film wouldn’t have worked otherwise

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva had a thrilling first week at the box office despite the criticism and backlash it has faced online. Netizens have been taking a dig at the film’s dialogues and a cliché love story that has been the subject of several memes and trolls. However, there are aspects of the movie that have been highly appreciated, such as the visual effects. The film has crossed its Rs 100-crore mark already and is expected to earn more in the coming days. The Brahmastra team recently visited Ahmedabad to celebrate the success of their film and talk about a lot more things.

Talking about the huge success of her film, Alia said that she feels that the reviews have been more positive rather than negative. She believes that the film would not have worked at the box office if the scenario was otherwise. She added that she hopes that the film gets more positive than negative reviews in the future. Alia further revealed that she likes to concentrate on the positive more than the negative. Criticism, negativity, reviews and opinions are the rights of the audience.

After the success of Brahmastra, Alia and Ranbir are looking out for more projects together and would do a film with each other when they find the right script.

Meanwhile, they have their individual projects lined up for now with Alia gearing up for the Karan Johar directorial, Rocky Aur Rani ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh and her Hollywood debut, Heart of Stone. Whereas, Ranbir Kapoor has Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal in his kitty alongside Rashmika Mandanna.
