Ali Fazal and Richa Chaddha to have a grand wedding reception in Mumbai with 400 guests

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha fell in love on the sets of their 2013 film, ‘Fukrey’ and soon started dating but had kept their relationship under wraps until they walked the red carpet of Fazal’s Hollywood film, ‘Victoria and Abdul’, hand in hand. After seven years of courtship, Ali finally proposed to Richa in 2019 and had planned to get married in 2020. Now, as previously reported, the duo will get married in September 2022 and are planning for a Delhi and then a Mumbai wedding with close family and friends.

Now, a report by India Today states that the duo will have a grand reception in Mumbai with around 350 to 400 guests present. The Mumbai wedding will take place in the first week of October meanwhile the Delhi wedding will happen in the last week of September. Following the proper days of different rituals, Mehendi and sangeet will take place before the wedding festivities.

Talking about her impending wedding with Ali Fazal to Mashable India, Richa said, “Whenever we think about getting married, a new variant (of COVID-19) comes. In 2020, we had booked places also, then the first wave came and it was all lockdown. Last year again, we thought during February and all and it was a really bad situation as everyone knows. The situation was not nice at all." The actress hinted that Ali and she will be considering court marriage now, looking at the condition. "We want to do this year. We'll make time and we'll do something.”
