Akshay Kumar to start the shoot for another biopic post-Raksha Bandhan release

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Akshay Kumar has been on a filming spree as he has back-to-back projects lined up for shoot and release. After the YRF biopic ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ failed to garner an audience in the theatre, Akshay has yet another film on the cusp of release. Aanand L Rai’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’ is slated to release on August 11, 2022. After this much-awaited film, Khiladi Kumar will not take a rest but begin his work on another biopic project, ‘Capsule Gill’.

The film is based on the life of chief mining engineer Jaswant Gill who saved 60 lives in Raniganj after a mine began flooding in 1989. Akshay will play the titular character and will head to the UK to start the work on this project. Helmed by Tinu Suresh Desai, he will be collaborating with Akshay after their last hit venture, Rustom.

That is not the only collaboration that Akki fans will get to see as the actor will also come together with his Kesari co-star Parineeti Chopra. Chopra will play his on-screen wife, alike her character in Kesari. Reportedly, he will shoot in the UK till the end of July and return to India after, for the promotions of Raksha Bandhan.
