Akshay Kumar carries Samantha Ruth Prabhu in his arms as they commence the third episode of Koffee With Karan

Mumbai (Maharashtra): The commencement of Koffee With Karan 7 was greeted with much love as Karan Johar returned to his favourite hot seat in this spicier and more glamorous season. While Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt kicked off the first episode and unveiled some deets about being married individuals, Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan appeared in the second episode that saw so many beans being spilled about their love lives! Now, the filmmaker has released the promo of the third episode that stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Akshay Kumar.

Introducing Samantha as the KWK debutant and Akshay as the veteran, the video saw Akshay lift Samantha in his arms as they both entered the set. The promo episode has a light and fun vibe to it with both the actors jointly making fun of Karan and having a gala time answering the questions. As Karan jokingly reminds Akshay that he is carrying the number one female star, Samantha teasingly quips, “I don’t mind!”

The actress could also be seen teasing Karan Johar for being the reason for unhappy marriages and Akshay chiming in, “Mujhe mil gaya mera jodidaar! Now we are going to take your case” as he pointed towards Karan. When asked about how he would react if Chris Rock made fun of his wife, Twinkle Khanna, Akshay replied, “I would pay for his funeral”. The video also saw Samantha fangirling over Ranveer Singh as she mentioned his name twice when asked to name two actors whom she would hire to dance at a bachelorette party. The duo could be seen Dirty Dancing as well, recreating the passionate dance sequence from the iconic film.

The third episode of Koffee With Karan 7 will air on Disney+ Hotstar on July 21 with new episodes coming out every Thursday.
