Ajay Maken resigns as Raj in-charge as Kharge assumes office of Cong prez
New Delhi: With Mallikarjun Kharge taking over as the Congress national president, general secretary in-charge of Rajasthan Ajay Make, all CWC members, general secretaries and in-charges have also resigned. Now Kharge will make fresh appointments on these posts. CWC member from Rajasthan Raghuveer Meena, Punjab incharge Harish Chaudhary, Gujarat in-charge Raghu Sharma, general secretary in-charge Bhanwar Jitendra Singh have also submitted their resignations to the new Cong president. Congress organisation general secretary KC Venugopal has informed about the resignation of all CWC members, general secretaries, and in-charges by tweeting. After the resignation of Maken from the post of Rajasthan in-charge, now discussions have started regarding the names of the new Rajasthan incharge. Maken was appointed as the general secretary in-charge of Rajasthan in August 2020, replacing Avinash Pandey. Maken is believed to be getting a big responsibility at the national level.
