Actor Sheezan Khan arrested after Tunisha Sharma’s mother files complaint of abetment of suicide

Mumbai (Maharashtra): The unfortunate passing of television actress Tunisha Sharma has shocked the entertainment industry. The 20-year-old committed suicide on Saturday on the sets of her show, Ali Baba: Daastan-E-Kabul. A day after the unfortunate incident, Tunisha’s mother filed a complaint against her co-star Sheezan Khan for abetment of suicide. The actor has now been arrested by the Valiv Police.

According to the complaint filed by Tunisha’s mother, the police have booked Shezaan under the Indian Penal Code Section 306 (abetment of suicide). According to the actress’ mother, Tunisha and Sheezan were in a relationship and had broken up just 15 days ago. Her mother claimed that Tunisha seemed to be upset about it and blamed her daughter’s death on Khan.

An officer stated that Khan has been arrested under the FIR and was produced before the courts for custody. As no suicide note was found, Tunisha’s body has been sent for post-mortem and the further probe will continue after that.

According to a report by Indian Express, the post-mortem conducted by doctors at JJ Hospital early on Sunday concluded that there were no injury marks found on her body. Prima facie says that the actress died due to asphyxiation.

Born in Chandigarh in 2002, Tunisha Sharma began her acting career at the age of 14. Tunisha had a successful career with several television and film roles. She played the role of Shehzaadi Mariam in Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul which is currently airing on SAB TV. Her extensive work portfolio includes Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap and films like Fitoor and Baar Baar Dekho, where she portrayed the role of a young Katrina Kaif.
