Udaipur: In a major catch, the Special Unit of the local Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught two senior officials of the Excise department – Circle Inspector Gopilal Solanki and Patrolling Officer Mahendra Jat – red-handed when they were receiving a bribe of Rs 25,000 in Mavali on Thursday. According to ACB ASP Umesh Ojha, the duo used to take a bribe of Rs 12,500 from a liquor contractor in Mavali on a monthly basis. Acting on the complaint of the contractor, an ACB team laid a dragnet and nabbed the officials on the spot. This time they were taking Rs 25,000 as last month’s installment was overdue.
