ACB arrests sweeper in Uniara taking Rs 4k bribe
Tonk: Tonk ACB arrested Lakhan Singh, a sweeper of Uniara Municipality, redhanded while taking a bribe of Rs 4,000 on Saturday.
ACB’s ASP Rajesh Arya told that Mahendra, a resident of Uniara, filed a complaint and told that his firm had given the contract of the municipality for the catering work, for which the payment was about Rs 80,000.
Clerk Suleman was creating hurdles in the work and the sweeper demanded Rs 5,000 in the name of the clerk for passing the bill. After verification of complaint, the accused was arrested & an inquiry is on to ascertain the role of the clerk.
