Aamir Khan's mother Zeenat Hussein suffers a major heart attack; rushed to the hospital

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Diwali is a time to celebrate but Aamir Khan went through a major setback during that time. His mother, Zeenat Hussein suffered a heart attack and was rushed to the Breach Candy Hospital.

A source close to the family told Indian Express, "She suffered a heart attack and is currently admitted in Breach Candy hospital."

It was reported earlier that Hussein was in Panchgani at Aamir Khan's bungalow celebrating the festival of lights along with everyone. After suffering a major heart attack, Aamir immediately rushed her to the hospital in Mumbai.

Zeenat Hussein is the wife of renowned filmmaker, producer, actor and screenwriter Tahir Hussain. She is the mother of four children Farhat Khan, Faisal Khan, Aamir Khan and Nikhat Khan.

Aamir Khan who is extremely close to his mother spoke on Mother's Day about how she influenced his life while growing up. He said in a 2014 interview, "My mother has been very important in my life, and not just on one particular day. She has been the biggest influence on me when I was growing up. She is extremely dear to me, irrespective of which ‘day’ it is."
