A test of Akhilesh’s leadership skills!

Lucknow: Mainpuri Lok Sabha poll is like do or die for Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav as it is a test of his leadership. After losing the Azamgarh Lok Sabha seat he won in the by-election, he has no option but to ensure that his party wins the Mainpuri seat. Keep in mind that SP won the seats of Azamgarh and Mainpuri even in the most difficult times. For the first time in the 2014 elections, being held under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the SP won both the seats and in 2019 also the party won both the seats. But after performing very well in the 2022 assembly elections, when Akhilesh Yadav decided to remain an MLA instead of an MP, he left the Azamgarh seat and the party lost that seat in the by-election. Not only this, the party also lost Rampur seat, where MP Azam Khan had resigned.

Now polls are being held on Azam Khan’s assembly seat and Mainpuri seat, which fell vacant after the death of Mulayam Singh Yadav. These polls are a test of Akhilesh’s leadership. Taking no chances, Akhilesh has fielded his wife Dimple. Uncle Shivpal has also been included in the list of star campaigners of the party. The BJP has fielded Raghuraj Singh Shakya, who was close to Shivpal. Keep in mind that Akhilesh's cousin Dharmendra Yadav was defeated on the Azamgarh seat. That's why it is very important for Akhilesh to ensure Dimple’s victory in Mainpuri.
