Yoga is an invaluable gift from ancient Indian sages: CM

Jaipur: A grand state-level celebration of the 10th International Yoga Day was held on Friday at SMS Stadium. Organised by Department of Ayurveda, the event saw participation from public representatives, officials, students, and a large number of yoga enthusiasts. Governor Kalraj Mishra, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, Deputy CM Dr Prem Chand Bairwa graced the occasion with their presence. CM Sharma highlighted yoga as an invaluable gift from ancient Indian sages to humanity, emphasizing its crucial role in promoting a healthy lifestyle and establishing an ideal society. He lauded PM Narendra Modi for his inspirational and effective efforts in bringing yoga to the global stage, stating that Modi’s initiatives have spread Indian culture to the farthest corners of the world through yoga. “Yoga is not just a physical exercise but a way of life that ensures physical, mental, and spiritual well-being,” said the Chief Minister. He called on every citizen to incorporate yoga into their daily routine to stay healthy and happy. The participants practiced for about 45 minutes, performing asanas such as Tadasana, Ardha Chakrasana, Dandasana, Vajrasana, Uttanmandukasana, Makarasana, Bhujangasana, Shalabhasana, and Pavanamuktasana, as well as the pranayama techniques.
