‘Will take assigned duty as challenge, will never back down’

Jaipur: The new incharge of Rajasthan Congress and former deputy CM of Punjab Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said that whatever challenge is before the party in Rajasthan, he accepts it. He also said that the Congress will retain the power in the state in the assembly elections next year. “Whatever responsibility the party has given me, I have taken it as a challenge. I will never back down,” he said. When asked about the next assembly elections in Rajasthan, Randhawa said that he will strengthen the organization further and will move forward by mobilizing the workers and motivating them. “This will make our way forward easier and the party will enter the fray with full force,” he said.

The newly appointed in charge said that the vacant posts in the organisation will be filled soon after talking to all the leaders. “If there is any problem, we will solve it by sitting together. Situation like Punjab will not happen in Rajasthan,” he said. Regarding Bharat Jodo Yatra, he said that wherever this Yatra is going, a very good response is being received. He said that the Yatra will be spectacular in Rajasthan and preparations have started in Punjab also. Randhawa said he would join the Yatra from today. CM Ashok Gehlot, his ex- Dy CM Sachin Pilot and the Congress’ State Unit Chief GS Dotasara congratulated Randhawa on his appointment as party’s in-charge for Rajasthan. CM Gehlot tweeted saying that under Randhawa’s guidance, the Congress would unite and become stronger.
