Water gushes while digging tubewell; machines stuck
Jaisalmer: The machine along with a truck being used in digging a tubewell in Mohangarh canal area in Jaisalmer got stuck in a pit after the ground caved in early on Saturday. Farmers in the vicinity got scared and informed the district administration after which a team led by groundwater scientist ND Inkhia reached the spot. “Water came out after digging about 850 feet. The velocity of the water was so fast that a pit was formed and the digging machine and truck got stuck in the mud,” he said.
