Vehicle fitness centres aren’t fit enough!
Jaipur: The Transport Department is ineffective in checking issuing of fitness certificates to vehicles without the vehicles arriving at the fitness centers. Despite all the complaints, the department is mute spectator as far as taking action against such centres is concerned. Every month a large number of people are losing their lives in road accidents in the state and most the accidents are happening due to big vehicles. In many accidents it has come to the fore that the accident occurred due to non-completion of fitness of the vehicle. From Jaipur to Jalore and from Pali to Bharatpur, fitness centers are openly flouting the rules. Most of the fitness centres operated in the state are either of people belonging to politicians or people of high status, and negligence has been found.
