Two held for smuggling Cannabis worth Rs 60 lakh in Churu: Police
Churu: On the information of DST, the team of Rajgarh police station recovered 390 kg of ganja worth Rs 60 lakh from a threewheeler tempo on Saturday night and the accused Ravidas Bawri, Ramesh Bawri has been arrested.
According to SP Praveen Nayak Nunawat, drugs are being smuggled using the tempo under the pretence of religious emotions. The cannabis were discovered in 13 boxes near Gothia Badi Pulia on National Highway 52. During preliminary interrogation, the accused admitted to bringing ganja from Andhra Pradesh and selling it in Haryana and Punjab. Both accused are being interrogated to obtain detailed information.
