State-level panel formed for Raj-Guj Waterway Project

Jaipur: The Bhajan Lal govt is fast-tracking the 491km waterway project linking Luni, Rajasthan, to Gujarat’s Rann of Kutch. A state-level river transport committee, chaired by WRD’s ACS, Abhay Kumar, has been formed to oversee implementation. Led by Rajasthan River Basin and Water Resources Planning Commissioner, Neeraj K Pawan, the committee includes members from PWD, NHAI, Railways, Fisheries, and Tourism Corporation. This initiative aims to boost tourism and industrial growth, facilitating transport to Kandla Port and benefiting Barmer postoil refinery project.
