Sikar Jawan killed in ITBP bus mishap

Sikar: One of the seven ITBP jawans who died after a bus in which they were returning from Amarnath Yatra duty fell into a deep gorge in the Pahalgam area of Jammu and Kashmir was from Sikar district. Constable Subhash Chandra was the resident of Shahpur Dhod of Sikar. 29-year-old Subhash joined ITBP in 2012. He was the eldest among three siblings.

The martyr was married in 2018 to Sarla, a resident of Fatehpur, who is 8 months pregnant. The jawan had returned to duty on May 25 after leaves. The bus was carrying 37 Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel and two policemen and it was on its way to the police control room from Chandanwari. While two ITBP personnel died on the spot, five others succumbed to their injuries later.
