Sanchore: Chakka jam disrupts life as people protest over dist status

Sanchore: A Chakka Jam disrupted daily life in Sanchore today as demonstrators rallied in support of former minister Sukhram Bishnoi, who is on an indefinite hunger strike. The protestors are opposing changes to the district’s status, demanding that Sanchore remain unchanged. The local market came to a complete standstill as businesses shut down.

Protests were also observed outside schools, with a large sit-in planned at the Sanchore Collectorate, where thousands gathered. Private schools and colleges showed their support by closing for the day. Sukhram Bishnoi has been on hunger strike at the Collectorate for the past four days, escalating calls for the administration to address the community’s concerns.
