Bikaner: Gangster Rohit Godara has demanded a ransom of Rs 5 crore from a prominent jeweller of Bikaner. The accused warned to shoot the jeweller showroom owner if demanded ransom is not fetched. After the threat, the jeweller lodged an FIR with the Nayashahar police station. According to information, a call was received at a jewellery showroom in Bikaner on Tuesday. The accused posed as a relative of jeweller and obtained his mobile WhatsApp number by calling at the jewellery showroom. After this, at 2 pm a miscreant called and introduced himself as gangster Rohit Godara, and placed a demand of Rs 5 crore. On this, the jeweller responded that he is incapable of providing such a huge sum and has a debt/loan of Rs 20 crore taken from a bank.
The fearlessness of the gangster can be gauged from the fact that he advised the jeweller to get the FIR registered and forward the recording to the police. Rohit Godara warned that if he is not given the answer in affirmation by Wednesday evening, he will be shot. As per the police, a case has been registered at Nayashahar police station and investigation is going on.
