Rajasthan Literature Festival evokes poor response from audience on last day

Jodhpur: The Rajasthan Literature Festival evoked a poor response from the audience even on the third and last day of the event on Monday.

In most of the sessions, the chairs were empty. The state government gave a budget of Rs 2 crore for organising the Rajasthan Literature Festival (Sahitya Kumbh-2023).

Leaving aside the organisers, booksellers, security personnel, government officials, and employees, not even three thousand people came in three days.

The organizers had to call students from schools and colleges for every session to attend the sessions.
Om Thanvi, the former vice-chancellor of Haridev Joshi Journalism and Mass Communication University, commented on the low presence in the pandal, “Whom are we telling… there are no listeners.”
