Post Alwar episode, Priyanka Gandhi & family leave for New Delhi amid tight security
Sawai Madhopur: Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi along with her family left for New Delhi by road on Friday afternoon.
Priyanka Gandhi’s convoy left for New Delhi from a hotel on Ranthambore Road amid tight security as on Thursday, college students and BJP workers had protested against the increasing crimes in the state and raised slogans against the Congress government.
After this, the district administration and police administration stepped up the security for Priyanka Gandhi and her family.
Her departure schedule was kept confidential. Police were seen at every step of the way from her hotel to the border of the district.
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi was on a three-day visit accompanied by husband Robert Vadra, son, and daughter to celebrate her birthday.
BJP leaders tried to gherao her over the Alwar episode, but could not because of the swift action by the police. Vehicles coming from the city were stopped for some time and left only after Priyanka Gandhi’s convoy left.
