IT dept seizes Rs1.15 crore assets linked to Pratapgarh land mafia
Jaipur: The Income Tax Department has attached properties worth Rs 1.15 crore in a decisive action against alleged benami assets in Pratapgarh.
Acting on credible information provided by the local police, the department’s BPU unit moved to attach four plots reportedly linked to land mafia Jamsher Pathan. The operation followed a tip-off from Pratapgarh SP, which led to a thorough verification process confirming the assets’ dubious ownership. Authorities are now investigating additional properties potentially connected to the case.
