IAS officer Shubhra Saxena is Dy Secy, EC

Lucknow: Shubhra Saxena (IAS officer of 2009 batch) has been appointed to the post of Deputy Secretary in the Election Commission of India (ECI) for a period of four years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (12.08.2022), the competent authority has approved the appointment of Saxena to the post for a period of four years from the date of taking over the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. An IIT-Roorkee alumni, UP cadre officer Saxena has worked as a software engineer abroad for over four years before deciding to join the administrative service. She was also DM Hardoi and Shahjahanpur before being shifted to ECI.
