FROM DREAM TO REALITY
The upcoming Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit, scheduled for December 9-11 at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC) in Jaipur, is set to be a significant event for the state of Rajasthan. The summit, aimed at attracting both domestic and international investors, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today, who will address a gathering of prominent business leaders, central ministers, legislators, parliamentarians, state ministers, representatives from business houses, industry experts, stakeholders, and beneficiaries. The event, which will feature targeted sessions on various sectors like mining, education, medicine, renewable energy, and automobiles, reflects the state’s ambitious vision for industrial and economic growth.
The initiative behind the Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit is largely driven by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of bringing about a monumental change in the state’s economy by developing new areas of growth, propelling the state to a $350 billion economy.
Taking PM Modi’s vision to the ground is Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, who, in his first year in office, has worked tirelessly to organise such a landmark event. Sharma has made it clear that the summit will be a game-changer for the state, pushing Rajasthan to the forefront of industrial progress. He emphasized that under the leadership of PM Modi, the State Government aims to boost investment in sectors such as mining, renewable energy, and manufacturing. Sharma believes the summit will be pivotal in realizing the state’s potential and improving its industrial landscape.
Sharma, along with the 2 Deputy Chief Ministers—Diya Kumari and Dr Prem Chand Bairwa, industry minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, and entrepreneurship minister KK Vishnoi—has been overseeing preparations for the summit with great urgency, ensuring that all logistical and security arrangements are in place. The 5 individuals travelled across various nations to attract investment into the desert state. In line with Rajasthan’s commitment to sustainable energy, the opening day of the summit will be powered entirely by solar energy, underscoring the state’s leadership in renewable energy production. Rajasthan currently ranks first in renewable energy production in India, and this summit aims to attract further investments to reinforce its position as a renewable energy powerhouse.
PM Narendra Modi’s presence at the summit is symbolic of his vision for India’s economic growth, where state-level initiatives like the Rising Rajasthan summit play a vital role in attracting investments that drive national development. In addition to Modi, several central ministers, including Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, are expected to participate. These leaders’ involvement underscores the importance of the summit in shaping Rajasthan’s economic future.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s leadership and vision for Rajasthan’s growth have set the stage for a successful investment drive. His efforts to make Rajasthan a prime destination for investment in the first year of his tenure demonstrate his commitment to the state’s economic progress. With the Rising Rajasthan summit, the state is poised to make significant strides in its journey toward becoming an industrial and economic leader in India.
