Expansion in cards for Jaipur Metro: Traffic study to begin

Jaipur: The Jaipur Metro is exploring the possibility of extending from Sitapura to the Delhi-Ajmer Bypass and from Vidhyadhar Nagar to Road No. 14. To facilitate this, Jaipur Metro will soon conduct a traffic study.

A tender will be issued next week for updating the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the second phase of the project and for conducting the traffic study up to Road No. 14. If the study deems it necessary to extend the metro from Vidhyadhar Nagar to Road No. 14, the second phase will be updated accordingly.

The proposed extension will see the metro route updated from Sitapura to Ambabari Tiraha, passing through Vidhyadhar Nagar on Sikar Road, and extending up to Road No. 14. Initially, the route was extended from Ambabari Tiraha to Vidhyadhar Nagar, and now, due to local demand, efforts are underway to extend it by an additional 5.5 kilometers to Road No. 14.
