Election shifted from issues to caste due to lies spread on reservation

Jaipur: After the unexpected Lok Sabha election results in the state, BJP engaged in review held discussions on seven seats on Saturday. In the presence of prominent party leaders, party leaders, workers and candidates engaged in election management listed the reasons for defeat on the seats.

On the first day, discussions were held on Barmer, Nagaur, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Tonk-Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Dausa Lok Sabha seats. In the review meeting held at BJP state office, caste based factionalism and low voter turnout were said to be the biggest issues for defeat in the elections. Candidates contesting on the seats and leaders handling the management also said that the lies of opposition parties about changing the constitution and ending reservation had an impact on the voters. On the other hand, complaints of sabotage were also made in the review meeting on some seats including Barmer, Churu and Jhunjhunu. Questions were also raised on the less activeness of the candidates in Tonk-Sawai Madhopur and Sikar seats in the last ten years. BJP state president CP Joshi, national organizer V Satish and election in-charge Vinay Sahasrabuddhe along with other leaders were present in the meeting.
