Tonk/Jaipur: After a night in which his supporters clashed with police, leaving over 50 people injured and 60 vehicles torched, Rajasthan Police on Thursday afternoon arrested Congress rebel Naresh Meena, who contested as an Independent in bypolls from DeoliUniara Assembly seat. He is accused of slapping local SDM Amit Choudhary during polling on Wednesday in Samravata village in Tonk. His supporters clashed with police and set some vehicles on fire on Thursday also after his arrest. A PTI video journalist Ajeet Shekhawat and cameraman Dharmendra were also assaulted by protestors. A delegation of RAS Association went to meet the CM on Thursday but could not as he was busy, they will meet today.
