Jaipur: A division bench of Rajasthan high court will hear the PIL filed by deputy leader of opposition Rajendra Rathore on the issue of the resignations of Congress MLAs on December 6.
The PIL is listed at number 19 in the cause list of the HC. Hearing will be held in the bench of Justice MM Srivastava & Justice VK Bharwani. The PIL was filed by Rathore on Dec 1 seeking directions to Assembly Speaker for taking a decision on resignations given by over 90 Congress MLAs. He also demanded to make public the names of MLAs who have resigned and to restrain them from participating in Assembly proceedings.
He said in PIL that under Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Procedure Rule-173, there is no option but to accept such resignations.
