Amendment in Rajasthan Sports Act likely after a gap of 18 years

Jaipur: The State Government is soon going to amend Rajasthan Sports Act after a gap of 18 years. The sports act was last implemented in 2005, but now, changes will be brought in the Act keeping in mind the working of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA). Sources informed that control of the cooperative registrar and sports council will be removed from the present act. Also, the district association will be able to cast three votes, instead of one. “No member of the primary club will be able to contest election for four years. Hence, parachute candidates will not be able to fight elections on RCA and other sports associations,” said a source.
