Alwar: Mob lynches man on suspicion of being thief

Alwar: A 45-year-old man, identified as Chiranji Lal Saini, was lynched by 20-25 people of a community in Rambas village of Govindgarh town in Alawar on August 14, died during treatment on Monday. On Tuesday morning, angry relatives and villagers blocked the Ramgarh-Govindgarh road. The family has demanded Rs 50 lakh compensation, job for a family member and arrest of the accused. Chiranjilal's son Yogesh has accused the police administration of letting the accused go. The family has refused to cremate the body and are adamant on their demand.

Additional security has been deployed to avert any untoward incident. The Govindgarh market remained completely shut in protest against the incident and the vegetable market traders also decided keep the market shut. When the body reached Rambas village, people blocked the Ramgarh-Govindgarh road. Targeting the Congress over the mob lynching, BJP state president Satish Poonia said that the crime under the rule of CM Ashok Gehlot has increased in the state in the last 3 and a half years.
