AJMER INUNDATED!

Ajmer: Heavy rain has submerged several colonies of Ajmer city causing untold problems to its residents. The lower settlements of the city are waterlogged. Old Chowpaty and Pushkar Road of Ana Sagar are also submerged.

There have been incidents of breach in the embankment of the lake due to overflow in Foy Sagar Lake. The teams of Civil Defence and SDRF are on alert. The district administration informed the Army for an inspection of the lake and the waterlogged area of the city. Water is being drained out from Ana Sagar and Foy Sagar lakes.

Meanwhile, the Ajmer district administration has issued orders to close all government and private schools in Ajmer district from Classes 1 to 12. The monsoon will remain active in eastern Rajasthan for the next three days, with heavy to very heavy rainfall expected in Jaipur, Kota, Ajmer, and Udaipur divisions. Acording to the weather reports, rainfall activities are likely to decrease from September 10 onwards.
