Ahead of Shah’s visit, DM inspects Forensic Univ site
Lucknow: Before the visit of Home Minister, Government of India for performing ‘Bhumi Pujan’ ceremony of UP Police and Forensic Science University at Pipersand, tehsil Sarojini Nagar, District Magistrate Abhishek Prakash and Commissioner of Police DK Thakur carried out on-site inspection of preparations for the ceremony and issued necessary guidelines to all concerned. District Magistrate said that the program should be held by following the Covid protocol.
Deputy District Magistrate Sarojininagar Santosh Kumar, Additional District Magistrate (Bhuya) Ram Araj and other departmental officers were present there.
CM Yogi had said last year said that a Police and Forensic University will be established in Lucknow. He said that the university will help prepare a pool of forensic experts who will be used by the police department as well as other public sector organisations.
