93% land for e’way acquired: UPEIDA Board informed

Lucknow: The 68th board meeting of Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA)was held under the chairmanship of its Chief Executive Officer Awanish Kumar Awasthi at the UPEIDA office.
Members of the Board of Directors and senior officers of UPEIDA also attended the meeting. Several important points were discussed in the meeting.
Approval was given by the Board of Directors of UPEIDA for obtaining loan from banks on the basis of securitisation for the implementation of Ganga Expressway project.
The Board was apprised that the work of land acquisition for Expressway project was in its final stages, and so far more than 6800 hectares i.e. 93 percent land had been purchased/acquired against the total land required for the project.
The Board of Directors was also apprised that UPEIDA had been authorized by the Government to set up industrial hubs on both sides of Purvanchal and Bundelkhand Expressway and the process of selection of consultancy firms by UPEIDA in this regard was going on.
In the meeting, approval was taken by the board for the works being done under Change of Scope in Bundelkhand Expressway and Purvanchal Expressway project.
