810th Urs: Security beefed up at Ajmer Sharif Dargah, 5K policemen deployed

Ajmer: For the security arrangements of the 810th Urs of world-renowned Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, 5000 policemen and home guards have been deployed in the city.

On Wednesday, instructions were given by the Ajmer SP for better security arrangements for Urs in the police line.

Ajmer SP Vikas Sharma said that in view of the Urs of Khwaja Sahib, 5000 policemen have been deployed.

At the same time, about 20 additional SPs and 30 DSPs have been called for special duty. All these policemen have been deployed in and around the dargah to maintain the security arrangements along with ensuring the compliance of Covid guidelines.

The SP said that besides the dargah, there will be police monitoring in the areas where there is a movement of pilgrims coming for the Urs.

Along with this, security arrangements have been increased inside and outside the dargah as well.
