5G REVOLUTION IN INDIA!

New Delhi: October 1, 2022 will be remembered as a historic day for the 21st century India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said as he gifted the 5G service to over 130 crore Indians on Saturday at the 6th edition of India Mobile Congress.

He said the vision of his govt for ‘Digital India’ was founded on four pillars - the cost of devices, digital connectivity, data cost and digitalfirst approach. 5G will help in real-time monitoring of disasters, precision agriculture, and minimising the role of humans in dangerous industrial operations such as in deep mines, offshore activities, the govt has underlined.

Stating that the 5G technology will revolutionise the telecom sector, PM pointed out that India was dependent on other countries for 2G, 3G and 4G technologies. But with 5G, India has created a new history. “India is setting a global standard in telecom technology for the first time”, he remarked. Industry leaders - Mukesh Ambani, Sunil Mittal, Kumar Mangalam Birla, also expressed their views on this occasion.
