26,880 KIDS IN 12-14 AGE GROUP GET JABBED ON DAY 1

Jaipur: On the occasion of the National Vaccination Day, the vaccination of children aged between 12-14 was started in all the cities of the state.

A target of 29,87,000 children has been set and 26,880 children were jabbed on first day. The vaccination programme was started in Adarsh Nagar here under the supervision of Jaipur CMHO Dr. Narottam Sharma. '

Most of the children got registered on spot and got the vaccine dose. “We have to vaccinate 3 lakh children and have got 2 lakh doses.

At present, the vaccine is being administered at the health centres, further if the need arises and the schools remain open, the children will be vaccinated by setting up special camps there too,” Sharma said.

Rajasthan child rights protection commissioner chairperson Sangeeta Beniwal launched the vaccination campaign at JK Lon Hospital.

Beniwal said that the commission will also take steps to promote the vaccination for children. “The long wait is over. We can make our children safe from corona only through vaccine.

More than 30 lakh children between 12-14 have been identified for vaccination in Rajasthan,” Beniwal said.

Children talked to media after getting the vaccine, the children said that they will no longer be afraid to step out and go to school.
