25-year-old man stabbed to death in Delhi's Shastri Park

New Delhi: A 25-year-old man was stabbed to death by unidentified men in Shastri Park area of the national capital, police said on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Johar Abbas, a resident of Shastri Park in Delhi.
Upon getting the information about the incident, a team of police officials rushed to the spot and found the body with multiple stab wounds on the forehead, wrist, chest and other areas.
Authorities at the Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital where he was rushed to declared him as brought dead.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), North East Delhi, Joy Tirkey, told ANI, "We received a PCR call at 11.50 pm regarding a murder case of an individual in the Shastri Park area, on Thursday. The body was found on the service road near Shastri Park Chowk. The deceased has been identified as Johar Abbas, who hails from the same area, near Buland Masjid.
"The reason behind the murder is yet to be identified but efforts are underway to solve the case until this evening. We have registered the case and efforts are being made to ascertain the motive and apprehend the involved accused," the official said on Friday.
Reportedly, Abbas returned to Delhi after a month on Thursday. He went out of the station to attend his relative's wedding ceremony. On Thursday evening, around 4-5 men arrived at Abbas's house and took him with them and at around 11.50 pm, police received information about his body lying on the service road.
The body has been sent for further medical procedures and efforts are underway to apprehend the accused.
