SUCH PROGRAMMES MOTIVATE COPS WHO ALWAYS WORK IN ADVERSE CONDITIONS: MIN MUKESH BHAI PATEL

Surat: The “Shoorveer Surat” programme was organised on Friday by the national Hindi news channel Bharat24-Vision of New India in Surat, the industrial city of Gujarat, in which the police personnel of Surat Commissionerate, who did remarkable work, were honoured.

Chief guest of the event, Minister of State for Agriculture, Energy and Petrochemicals Mukesh Bhai Patel said in his address that the policemen of the state remain at the forefront in every situation and provide internal security. Surat Police has provided relief to the common people from the moneylenders, he said. Praising the efforts of ‘Bharat24,’ Patel said that ‘Bharat24’ has made its own place in the field of nationalist journalism. Praising the event organised by the channel, Patel said, “This type of event boosts the morale of police personnel and they prepare themselves to work even in adverse circumstances.” 154 police personnel and 28 police stations, who did excellent work in different areas of police department, were honoured with shields and certificates.

While addressing the event, Surat Municipal Corporation Mayor Dakhesh Mavani said that it is because of the 24- hour active duty of these police personnel that the people of Surat feel safe. Mavani appreciated the efforts of channel CMD Dr Jagdeesh Chandra for this programme to honor police personnel.

In the live interview with Shikha Thakur on this occasion, Surat Police Commissioner Ajay Kumar Tomar said that this was his first live interview. Tomar said, “When my team is in front of me and with me, I am ready to do anything. All police personnel are ready for the safety of women in the upcoming Navratri festival and specially deployed police mitra will also cooperate for this. When the people of city celebrate Holi-Diwali peacefully, then we policemen doing duty on the festival believe that we to have celebrated festival.”

The program was attended by Forest Minister Mukesh Bhai Patel, Police Commissioner Ajay Kumar Tomar, Joint Police Commissioner Wabang Jamir, Joint Commissioner Traffic HR Chaudhary, ACP Sharad Singhal, Surat Mayor Dakhesh Mavani, Rajan Bhai Patel. Lighting of lamp was done by Bharat24 Chief Business Officer Manoj Jagyasi, Anita Hada, Bharat-24 Editor Manish Desai, Mahesh Sharma.
