PM to address Combined Commanders

Rajpipla: The Narmada district administration and Special Protection Group have started to prepare for the Combined Commanders’ Conference 2021 at Kevadia, which will be held March 03-06.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing the top commanders of the Indian Army, Air Force and the Navy in the concluding session.
“PM Modi is expected to give directions to the defence forces for being prepared for the challenges in the near and distant future,” government sources said.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat will also be addressing the conference, which will be attended by the Commander-in-Chief rank officers of the three services and the tri-services organisations such as the Integrated Defence Staff Headquarters, Strategic Forces Command and the Port Blair-based Andaman and Nicobar Command.
Sources from the district administration said that Chief of Army Staff Manoj Mukund Narvane personally visited the Kevadia site and took stock of the security preparation earlier this week. He had landed directly at Kevadia Colony.
Since this is a defence event, district and state authorities have been tight-lipped on the specifics of the three-day conference.
However, it is likely that the Statue of Unity and parks in the notified areas will be closed to tourists for the three days.
This is the first time in his second tenure that PM Modi will the top commanders of the defence forces. (First India Bureau)
